DEDICATED TO JAPANESE SUSHI LOVERS
THE MOST DELICIOUS ENTERTAINMENT
Where is the boundary between truth and lie....
'Sushi Oji!' by the director Tsusumi is attractive because it transcends the boundary between the real world and the fictional one.
The movie version is filled with such attractions as well.
The scale of the story was enlarged that its story is held in New York.
The story is ike that; Sushi Oji by (Domoto) Koichi-san is going to have a training at the sushi restaurant in New York, and he encounters with the awful sushis which souldn't be called as sushi.
And it was not just a fiction(LAUGH).
I went to reconnoiter the actual sushi in New York with our staff, and the sushi restaurant where we visited was full of awful original sushis such as mango-roll.
I thought the sushis in the movie must be expressed exaggeratedly but....
I checked with my eyes that the sushi there differed from Japanese sushi.
"Sushi Oji! has a reality~", I thought so from my heart.
That was my third time to visit New York.
That city was still filled with energy.
All the people walking there looked smart(LAUGH).
As that is the town where people fights for their success.
Kawataro by me also goes to NEw York to fight as a sushi cook.
Then he is shown off the native advanced sense and talent of Sushi Oji, and he envies him and has complex.
As I understand such feelings, I could empathize him as a real.
Kawataro is generally funny but he has a strong wish and ambition in his heart, and he is working hard not to lose Sushi Oji.
I also work hard when I am impressed by a rival.
The members of KAT-TUN are family, comrades, and friends, but I think they are rivals.
Once I go out, all the people are my enemies!.... I consider such(LAUGH).
I might not look like such, but rather I am a man with fighting spirit inside.
When I imagine the growth of the people around me, I feel the necessity of the effort and train my beatbox.
Well it's a fight not against anyone but against myself.
It may be like a study for entrance examination(LAUGH).
I laughed with clapping my hands at the preview.
Isn't it normal for 24 years old guy to laugh loud in the theater?
For the readers of 'mina(*this magazine)', please laugh without thinking about the eyes of those around you.
(I found that these cloths above were same as what he was wearing in the film shown at the preview of Sushi Oji! in Shinjuku)
P.S. I watched the DVD 'Sushi Navi', and its main artiste was more like Nakamaru rather than Koichi, since he was both the narrator and the reporter.
And the hotel where he stayed in New York at the filming was AFFINIA DUMONT HOTEL (on DVD he appeared from that hotel).
It seems to be an expensive hotel!
